The Family Vet Housecall Visits Protocol
Thank you for participating in our housecall service. We look forward to visiting you soon. We provide this service on a limited basis to some of our clients. In order to facilitate the housecall visit, please read the following instructions:
We will contact you several days prior to the housecall to give you an estimated arrival time.
During the housecall day, please have your cell phone near you and monitor for our call/message. We will send you a Google Maps link showing you our location live so that you know our estimated arrival time and when we arrive.
Traffic, parking and other factors may impact our arrival time.
For cats, we strongly advise that you keep them in a confined area prior to our estimated arrival time. (A bathroom generally works well.)
We will need a small open space (such as a kitchen table) in order to set-up our visit, as well as easy access to a 3 prong outlet.
Housecalls generally consist of four parts. To facilitate the visit, during parts 2 & 3 silence is generally requested. Additionally, we may occasionally have to skip part 1 for especially nervous companions.
Initial checking in, clarification of any concerns or questions.
Exams and treatments.
Write-up of the visit and records.
Final check-out.
Receipts, general notes, and other items will be emailed instead of printed; please be sure you have your current email on file with us.
