We’ll send you a link like this to your cell phone once we’re on our way.
A clear table provides an essential workspace for being able to work with cats.
For dogs, a large clear floorspace works well.
Housecall Visit Instructions
Thank you for participating in our housecall service. We provide this service on a limited basis to select clients by appointment only. In order to facilitate our housecall visit, please familiarize yourself with the following:
Housecalls are generally scheduled 15-30 days ahead of time, and usually on select Wednesdays.
Please complete and submit the check-in form you’ll receive for each visit within a day or two of receiving it.
During the housecall day, please be prepared to receive and reply to text messages on the day of your visit. We communicate any updated estimated visit time and other details to you via text.
Traffic, parking and other factors including the length of previous housecall appointments may impact our arrival time. We will send texts to let you know if we are ahead of schedule, on time, or running late. Once we are on our way to your home we will send you via text a Google Maps link showing you our location.
For cats:
Unless instructed otherwise, please have your cat in a carrier when we arrive. Your cat will not have to be in the carrier long; we recommend monitoring our tracking link and placing your cat in a carrier just 5-10 minutes before we arrive. (But plan accordingly if it takes longer than that to get your cat in a carrier.)
We will need an open space in order to set-up for our visit (and a table if we are seeing a cat), and easy access to a 3 prong electric outlet.
Housecall visits generally consist of four parts. To facilitate the visit and minimize stress on your companion, pausing conversation during examination, treatment, and visit-write up (especially if a pet is particulary stressed) is generally requested.
Initial checking in, communication, and clarification of any concerns or questions prior to initiating the exam.
Exams and treatments.
Write-up of the visit and records.
Summary, discuss any issues or questions, and final check-out.
Receipts, general notes, and other items will be emailed to you instead of printed; please be sure you have your current email on file with us.
Following these instructions will help make our visit less stressful for your companion, and facilitate our visit. Please reach out to us via text or email if you have any questions about your housecall appointment. We look forward to visiting you soon.
